As part of the Pan-American Highway expansion and rehabilitation project between the Bridge of the Americas and Arraiján, Freyssinet Geoquest Panama contributed to the construction of key access structures connecting entry and exit ramps to the central lanes of the upgraded highway.

The project included the design, construction, and technical assistance of 13 Reinforced Earth retaining wall structures, using TerraSquare concrete panels reinforced with GeoStrap reinforcement.

The scope included the engineering and design of the walls, the development of detailed project drawings, and the definition of construction procedures and technical specifications. In addition, the concrete panels were precast onsite at the start of the project to ensure timely execution.

For eight of the structures, Freyssinet Geoquest Panama managed the complete wall assembly. The remaining five structures were installed by the client, Consorcio Loma Cová, with our teams providing technical assistance throughout the construction process.

This project highlights the strong collaboration between Freyssinet Geoquest Panama and Consorcio Loma Cová, delivering reliable and efficient solutions in support of one of Panama’s most significant highway upgrades.

We thank our teams for their commitment and professionalism, and our client for their trust throughout the project.
