In Lumut Balai, South Sumatera, Geoquest Indonesia recently completed a surface erosion control as part of the construction of a hauling road for the Geothermal Power Plant Unit-2. Spanning over 23,000 m², this project exemplifies our commitment to sustainable infrastructure and environmentally integrated solutions.
Working closely with our client, the project aimed to maintain the natural slope of the terrain while ensuring long-term surface stability and erosion control. We supplied and installed the geosynthetic turf reinforcement mat TerraGreen. Over time, plant roots naturally anchor the slope, reduce surface water runoff, and help the landscape blend seamlessly into its surrounding environment.
To further reinforce the slope, an additional 2,000 m² of rectangular netting was installed to support soil nails implemented by our sister company Freyssinet.
