As urban areas continue to grow, transportation infrastructure plays a critical role in improving mobility, reducing congestion, and supporting regional development. At the same time, infrastructure projects must be designed with careful consideration for the surrounding natural environment.

The Wekiva Parkway, led by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), was developed to complete the final link of the Central Florida Beltway around Metro Orlando while protecting the wildlife and natural resources that characterize the region.

An extension of State Road 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway), the 25-mile expressway provides an alternative to congested routes and helps relieve traffic on U.S. Highway 441 and State Road 46. This important infrastructure also responds to growing transportation needs across Orange, Lake, and Seminole counties.

As part of this project, Geoquest USA contributed to the delivery of Wekiva Parkway Sections 7A and 8, completed in 2025. Across the two contracts, approximately 1 million square feet of Reinforced Earth solutions were delivered to the contractor for installation, supporting the construction of this major transportation corridor. More broadly, Geoquest USA has contributed Reinforced Earth solutions across several sections of the Wekiva Parkway over the past decade, bringing the total installed area on the project to nearly 2 million square feet.

This project highlights the ability of Reinforced Earth solutions to support large-scale infrastructure developments while meeting demanding technical and operational requirements.

Congratulations to the Geoquest USA team and all project stakeholders involved in the successful delivery of this project.
